Help YEP Build the Future: Real Skills. Real Training. Real .

WE SAY YEP TO THE FUTURE!

The Youth Elevation Project (YEP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving youth and young adults in Philadelphia. We are raising funds to strengthen and expand hands-on educational, creative, and career-training opportunities that help young people build skills, confidence, and pathways toward successful futures.

Today, our mission continues with an expanded vision: to give youth and young adults access to real skills, real training, mentorship, certifications, creativity, professional development, and pathways to meaningful careers and greater independence.

What We’re Building

CDL Class B Career Training | Ages 1824

YEP’s workforce-development pathway is being developed to help young adults prepare to pursue a CDL Class B license with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.

Through structured education, professional development, career preparation, and connections to behind-the-wheel training and employment opportunities, participants can gain the knowledge and support needed to move toward CDL licensing and greater financial independence.

This program is designed to do more than help participants earn credentials. We want young adults to build confidence, strengthen professional skills, prepare for the workforce, and create pathways toward long-term employment and independence.

Media & Creative Arts | Ages 1117

Through our collaboration with Philadelphia Student Television (PSTV), youth will have opportunities to explore media and creative arts through hands-on learning experiences.

Participants can develop skills in:

Video production
Content creation
Digital storytelling
Interviewing
Camera and audio production
Video editing
Behind-the-scenes production
These experiences give young people opportunities to discover their talents, express themselves creatively, develop practical skills, and explore careers they may never have considered.

Why We Need Your Help

Building strong programs requires more than a good idea. It requires the proper space, equipment, materials, technology, instruction, and resources to give our young people meaningful, high-quality experiences.

We Have the Space. Now Help Us Build the Opportunity.

YEP has acquired a dedicated space for our CDL Class B Career Training Program—an exciting and important step toward bringing this workforce-development opportunity to life.

But securing the space is only the beginning.

To prepare and equip the facility, establish the program, and successfully open our doors to participants, YEP is seeking support from our community.

Funding will help us build the foundation needed to launch and sustain the program while creating a professional learning environment where young adults can receive education, career preparation, professional development, and support as they work toward pursuing their CDL Class B license with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements.

At the same time, YEP is continuing to strengthen our Media & Creative Arts programming and build toward additional educational, creative, entrepreneurial, and workforce-development opportunities for Philadelphia youth and young adults.

We aren’t simply creating classes.

We’re creating pathways.

We want young people to have spaces where they can discover what they’re good at, learn practical skills, build confidence, earn credentials, explore careers, develop their creativity, and see possibilities for their futures that they may never have known existed.
