In the name of the Brazilian Young Birders Network, I am here to ask for your support to help 8 passionate young birders from 6 different states in Brazil attend the biggest Birding Fair & Conference in Latin America: the Avistar Brasil.

This year, we are bringing an entire morning session to highlight the accomplishments of 26 different young birders from all over Brazil at the conference. These kids and teens range from 6 years old to their early 20s and have the most incredible experiences to share, including the publication of a book by a 10-year-old girl and research led by a 16-year-old boy.

However, 8 of these young birders are experiencing financial difficulties to travel to São Paulo in southeast Brazil and make it to the event. Your support, even $5, is of great help to enable them to participate in the event. Please, help us make this dream possible!

As a former Young Birder, I can say Avistar had a major impact on my trajectory to studying birds today. Through the years I organized this round table with youth, I have seen it expand from 5 young people known as birders in Brazil in 2013 to an uncountable number now in 2025. It is truly amazing to see this growth, and with your support, the Avistar experience can be life-changing for these 8 young birders.
