We are a student partnership with the Pomona Economic Opportunity Center-PEOC Worker Rights Project and are raising money to support workers facing ICE persecution during the holiday season. Money will go to support jornaleros and domestic workers during the holiday season.
The PEOC is a nonprofit day laborer organization that provides a safe space for workers to find safe work conditions. They provide training and support as workers seek job opportunities in our community. Our goal is to raise funds to provide the Jornaleros and Domestic Workers holiday support such as gift cards, boots, work clothes, and other tools and needs for work.
Not only would you be supporting jornaleros and domestic workers, but you would directly impact their immediate families as they are key pillars of support for their loved ones and community.
There’s no company sponsorship or overhead — this is 100% a community effort led by Claremont College Students in partnership with the PEOC and supported by caring people like you. Together, let’s support as many people as we can this holiday season — and start a new tradition of giving that grows year after year.
Every dollar helps. Every act of kindness counts. Thank you for helping us share care, gratitude, and opportunities with families who need it most.
