Support Tanzanian Empowerment - The Graceful Warrior Project

As many of you know, Kelly and the Graceful Warrior Project is doing the Lord's work by helping and changing many lives in Tanzania and the Congo in Jesus' name. Through the Graceful Warrior Project, safe-housing is provided for the people in these countries. They are also provided with an education and the leaders are empowered with the knowledge and strength to uplift the people around them in their own communities.

I'm happy to be a small part of this blessing by going to Tanzania and working alongside the Graceful Warrior Project to help spread awareness of the various challenges the people face and to help contribute in creating a safe environment for women and children through the use of Muay Thai. With my passion as a practitioner and teacher of Muay Thai I plan on showing these women defensive style kicks such as the teep to ward off potential oncoming attackers along with elbows and knees to prepare them for possible attacks that are up-close.

"Research shows us that women aged 15-44 are more likely to be maimed or die from male violence than from cancer, malaria, traffic accidents and war combined. Learning self defense not only helps set them up for success in the future, it also helps to rewrite traumatic situations that have already happened."

I will be leading two Muay Thai training camps each day, one for our rescued girls and another for the young men's group that take good pride in protecting the village. As The Graceful Warrior Project continues to grow, with the medical center very close to being finished and soon breaking ground on a school, it's vital to maintain and grow a healthy and strong team that will be able to sustain all of it.
