Hi, my name is Atticus. I’m a Life Scout in Troop 509 in Los Angeles and a 9th grader at La Cañada High School. I’m working toward my Eagle Scout rank, and for my project, I want to support students in Baan Mae Tob Tai, a small village in northern Thailand. My mom is from Thailand, and I visit every summer, so this isn’t just a project to me — it’s something that’s personally connected to my family and community.

Many students in Baan Mae Tob Tai work really hard in school, but they don’t always have access to basic learning tools like calculators, writing utensils, bags, and art supplies. These things may seem small, but they make a huge difference in how students learn, feel, and succeed. The goal of this project is to help them feel prepared, supported, and confident in the classroom, and to give them resources that help them keep up, stay motivated, and enjoy their education.

I’m raising money to purchase and ship solar calculators, drawstring bags, notebooks, pens and pencils, and art supplies to the students. Funds will go toward buying quality materials and covering shipping so everything arrives safely and ready to use. This project is youth-led, so I’m responsible for organizing everything, and I truly appreciate any support.
