Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are excited to share an incredible opportunity to support the North Greenwood Youth Esports Team, a vibrant group of young gamers who have been making waves in the competitive gaming world. Since its inception in 2022, our team has grown from a small after-school program to a dynamic group of 11+ talented kids, competing with enthusiasm and skill against other municipalities and esports teams.

As we celebrate the growth and achievements of our team, we face a significant challenge: the need for updated equipment to keep up with the competitive landscape. Currently, our team practices and competes using outdated consoles and technology, which puts them at a disadvantage compared to other teams with high-powered gaming PCs. To level the playing field and give our kids the tools they need to succeed, we’re launching a fundraiser to purchase at least two high-quality gaming PCs.

Our Story

In 2022, a spark of excitement ignited at the North Greenwood Recreation Center when a handful of kids expressed their passion for esports. With just a few TVs and gaming consoles, our Youth Esports Team was born. From those humble beginnings, our team has grown into a formidable force, proudly competing against the Seminole Recreation Centers’ esports team and participating in various tournaments.

Our young gamers have shown incredible dedication, often practicing after school and online. Their hard work has paid off, as they’ve won tournaments and walked away with gift cards and other exciting prizes. But as our team has grown and the competition has intensified, the limitations of our equipment have become increasingly apparent.

Despite our efforts to upgrade a few consoles recently, our strict budget and purchasing restrictions at the center have hindered our ability to invest in the high-performance gaming PCs that are crucial for advanced gameplay. These PCs would not only enhance their gaming experience but also provide them with the competitive edge they need to excel in tournaments.

By contributing to this fundraiser, you’re helping to provide these young gamers with the opportunity to reach their full potential. Your support will go directly towards purchasing and donating these essential gaming PCs and other gaming accessories to our Esports program, ensuring our kids have the resources they need to compete at the highest level.
