Empower Nikki Collins' Journey to Sobriety

Donation protected
Hello,

My name is Katie Jordan and I’m doing this to help my sister, Nikki Collins, as she takes the next step in her recovery journey. As many of you know, for the better part of a year, my sister has been on the streets of Kensington. She has entered rehab and we are preparing for her next steps of recovery. We are trying to make this transition as smooth as possible, and Nikki has been applying for scholarships and other aid. That being said, nothing in this world moves quickly.

Nikki will be placed in the halfway house Monday, not only is this location closer to home, but it offers a variety of opportunities for Nikki to truly and finally kick addiction's butt! I know this is a large ask, but with all of her family already working full time and then some, and all of us, like others, having bills and other things to pay, we are asking for help.

Nikki will have to pay $250 a week for her new living arrangements, this will help her have a roof over her head, food in her tummy, and transportation to the plethora of appointments she will have to attend in order to keep her sobriety going. As we work through attempting to get scholarships, finding Nikki a job, and all around just adjusting to this new normal, we are asking for help. Whatever funds are not used to help Nikki pay her rent, will go to others like her. Being in active addiction and attempting to turn your life around is extremely difficult. And we would like to help not only Nikki, but the thousands of others like her. Anything you could help with would be greatly appreciated!!
