Hello!
We are nursing students at Emory University completing a mother/baby donation drive for the Latino Community Fund (LCF) as part of our clinical project, as there is a dire need for these supplies. The Latino Community Fund INC (LCF Georgia) is a 501(c)(3) community organization, operating both as a philanthropic intermediary and a direct service provider.
Annually, they reach over 50,000 individuals in person to deliver valuable public health education, FREE health screenings, navigation and referrals, Know Your Rights information, and connect them with resources to achieve our vision of a self-sufficient, healthy, influential community that is recognized for our contributions to the state and our country.
Their work is done through a collective impact model, one that involves our board, Giving Circle members, individual, corporate and philanthropic investors, donors, dozens of member and partner organizations, and volunteers. Today, we are reaching out to request your support in the following way:
1. Financial contributions. You can dedicate your support to a specific program and effort or simply contribute to what we need the most:
o Diapers (all sizes)
o Diaper wipes
o Diaper rash cream (butt paste)
o Prenatal vitamins
o Children’s vitamins
o Nursing supplies for breastfeeding mothers and babies
o Formula
o Infant clothing/supplies
o Gift cards (to offer as incentives for workshop participation, completion of programs, etc.)
o Food donations (for volunteers, event participants, etc.)
o Healthy snacks (for parents and children)
Your contributions, financial or in-kind, are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Nothing will be used to support lobbying or political activities, and we adhere to all legislation and guidelines at the federal and state level.
