Empower Kara Davis: Restore Her Hope and Dreams

When it rains, it pours. Especially, when you are striving to walk the right path. My name is Tyra, and I am a long term friend/loved one of Kara Davis. I have created this fundraiser in hopes to help alleviate some of the stress plaguing Kara as she navigates through life.

For as long as I could remember, Kara has battled with juggling the highs and lows of life. Once she receives a blessings, it is almost always followed by bad news or a downfall.

Kara is a chef with aspirations of owning her own food truck one day. As time has progressed and bills have piled on, a lot of us around her have found that dream being pushed further and further away from the surface. Kara is a mother of two amazing children, an avid supporter of her community in which she donates her time to a local community center, a homeowner, and a devout follower of Christ. For those who know, following Christ is never easy and comes with a large amount of responsibility and selflessness.

Recently, Kara has lost her job, forcing her to work small jobs, sell plates, and do hair where she can to make ends meet. This has created a downward spiral of unfortunate events that have pushed her further and further behind.

About a week or two ago, Kara was ran off of the road and had to get a tire replaced. Kara went about her day thanking God for it not being a worse situation. This week, the same tire that was replaced flew off of her car and caused front end damage to her vehicle. This vehicle was Kara’s saving grace to be able to make the necessary funds to at least pay for the main necessities for her and her family.

Kara was driving this car WITH NO AC in 100 degree weather to help feed elderly families. Her car is no longer drivable and she lost the temporary job that she had because of it.

We all endure tough times and shortcomings, but Kara is in a hole that is only getting deeper by the day. Though humble, she is very prideful and was against creating this fundraiser. But her village, those around her, and her loved ones have agreed that’s it’s time for her to receive the same help she’s been giving to others so willingly. We are asking for donations to support Kara in catching up on bills, getting her car repaired and allowing her to get back on track in life. Anything helps and I believe we can all contribute to changing the life of someone who would do it for us without a question or doubt.
