Hey There Family, Friends, Loved Ones, and Supporters,
I am Jasmine Clopton, honored to serve as your Ms. Black Minnesota USA 2024. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity the Miss Black USA Pageant has provided to not only affirm my confidence but also to highlight my achievements and represent the essence of our community.
The Miss Black USA Pageant, established in 1987 by philanthropist and author Karen Arrington, is a prestigious platform dedicated to celebrating the intelligence, beauty, and potential of Black women nationwide. Through its legacy, the pageant has become a cornerstone of empowerment and inspiration.
In addition to my pageant responsibilities, I am currently the Communication Chair for the Minneapolis NAACP, a teen mentor, business owner, professional development coach, employment coach, and much more.
As I continue to represent Minnesota on this national stage in my fight to bring awareness to mental health disparities within young black professionals, I seek YOUR support to ensure that I can fully engage with all aspects of the competition and represent US with pride. Your contributions will assist with:
- Professional Pageant Coaching- $1000
- Evening Gowns, Accessories, and Comprehensive Wardrobe needs- Gown:$700 ; ETC: $450
- Travel and Accommodation TO and FROM for the national pageant in Washington, D.C.- $1300
- Styling, Makeup, Hair, and Additional Beauty preparations $600
- Talent Development and other Skill-Enhancement Services - $250
Your support will not only help me showcase the vibrancy and potential of Black women across all 50 states but will also support a fellow Minnesotan in turning a dream into reality. As a token of my gratitude, contributors will receive an autographed postcard featured in a Black Magazine from Ms. Black Minnesota as a Souvenir.
The culmination of this journey will be at the national pageant on August 3, 2024, at 6 PM EST, broadcasted live on FOX SOUL. It promises to be an evening filled with talent, grace, and an unforgettable showcase of Black Excellence.
