Empower Honduran Girls with Volleyball

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Maria Flynn. I am a recent graduate of Gilmour Academy, and last summer I had the pleasure of participating in one of Gilmour’s Honduras Service Trips under the Honduran Children’s Rescue Fund. The trip consists of people from Gilmour traveling to Nuevo Paraíso, Honduras, a rural community that houses, cares for, and educates over 100 orphaned and abandoned Honduran children. The community is run by Sociedad Amigos de los Niños, founded by Sister María Rosa in 1966.

The Reyes Irene School for Young Women in Nuevo Paraíso recently notified us that they are hoping to raise enough money to purchase a volleyball net for the girls to use at school. As a volleyball player myself, I believe that this addition will enrich the girls’ days and help them to form friendships that are the product of teamwork. Please join me in supporting these young women by donating to support the purchase and transport of a volleyball net and a few volleyballs. If more than the target goal is raised, all extra money will be donated to Nuevo Paraíso to fit any of the community’s current needs. For example: school supplies for the children, furniture for the homes, construction on the buildings, etc.
