Empower Haley and Team for SkillsUSA Nationals
Donation protected
My name is Haley Blake, and I am a member of Maine’s SkillsUSA chapter and a Mid-Coast School of Technology student, taking both the Medical Science and CNA courses. I’m excited to share that I, along with two of my classmates, have been selected to represent Maine at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta, Georgia, this June. It is an incredible opportunity for us to grow, learn, and showcase our skills on a national stage.
Our goal is to raise $2,100 to cover the expenses of attending the event, which include travel, accommodation, meals, and other essential costs. My teammates and I recently participated in the SkillsUSA Community Service Project, where we worked together to raise $1,796 for the Knox County Homeless Coalition, now known as Homeworthy. Through three major fundraising events we were able to purchase essential items for those in need, including tents, sleeping bags, blankets, hats, gloves, portable chargers, and hygiene kits. We personally delivered these supplies to the Landing Place in Rockland, making a tangible difference in our community. Any donation would help!
