Hello everyone!! I am participating in Black Sewing Network’s Day of Service on November 15th and I will be leading the young ladies in the GEM (Girls Empowerment Mission) organization in a sewing project for the Baltimore service location. I want to introduce the girls to the wide world of sewing and sustainable fashion by using either swapped or donated fabric for the project. I am teaching the skills but would love to leave at least one girl with the tools to continue. With this last minute fundraising blitz I am attempting to raise money to gift one girl (chosen at random via drawing) a starter sewing machine! Any funds raised over my goal will go directly to the GEM organization! Thank you for your time and consideration!
