JUSTICE. EQUITY. INCLUSION.
This is the 5th annual Movement 4 Movement fundraiser hosted by Northwestern University Physical Therapy students. This year’s fundraiser will take place from June 9-15th, 2024.
The past few years have reignited needed conversations surrounding the overwhelming racial injustices plaguing our country. These conversations led to the birth of the initial Movement 4 Movement - a fundraiser where we MOVE OUR BODIES to raise money for deserving causes supporting historically excluded groups and communities. We pledge movement - whether it’s miles walking/biking/running/rolling; minutes dancing or performing yoga; burpees completed - for one week with the goal of raising money from friends and family per unit of movement we achieve.
The money we raise will be split equally between two deserving initiatives: My Block My Hood My City and the Robert Babbs Jr. Diversity Scholarship for Northwestern Doctorate of Physical Therapy Students. As future physical therapists, we know and affirm that a more diverse and representative profession leads to better care and outcomes for our communities, our city, and our country. By raising money for these causes we aim to offer greater opportunities for underrepresented minorities through supporting their communities and their physical therapy education. See the links below to learn more about both of these tremendous causes. We are grateful for your contribution!
