At Farrynheight , we believe in using creativity to make a meaningful difference. That’s why we’re honored to help support Saheli Women , a nonprofit female social enterprise in rural India working to rewrite the story of fashion, starting from the soil up.

Cotton farmers are the very foundation of the fashion industry, and their female counterparts are the ones who do 75% of the work in the farms. That’s why we are so proud to raise funds for their initiative, Saheli Kapas, a cotton project that supports women at the very beginning of the supply chain: the seed. This pilot project will provide female farmers with organic seeds, sustainable farming training, financial resources, and direct support–empowering them to cultivate cotton that will feed into Saheli’s already-established Handloom Program and garment-making programs.

Your support will help fund critical areas of the project, including farming capital, research and development, field outreach and training, ongoing harvest support, and ginning training and administration. The impact of this work is far-reaching: it means healthier soil, improved biodiversity, and increased water retention in an arid region; it means higher incomes and greater independence for female farmers; and it means building a stronger, more self-sustaining community. They are the first link in the fashion industry and they deserve the recognition and respect they are due. It is Saheli Women’s oath to empower every stakeholder in the fashion community, from farmer to consumer.
