Hi, my name is Roderick Jordan, and I’m launching a socially driven coffee business called Café de la Vida. Our mission is to import premium, ethically sourced beans directly from small, up-and-coming farmers in Colombia—many of whom are new to global trade and deserve a fair chance to grow.

This isn’t just about coffee—it’s about building a bridge between cultures, supporting underserved communities abroad, and empowering minority entrepreneurs here at home. We’re raising $25,000 to cover the startup costs, including import licensing, first bean orders, packaging, equipment, and building our direct farmer network.

Most importantly, **10% of our profits will go toward funding other minority-owned startups** every single month.

After spending time studying culinary arts in Switzerland and working as a chef in Denmark, I developed a love for how food and drink bring people together—and how shared flavors can bridge entire worlds. That passion has evolved into my next chapter: launching my own coffee company, Café de la Vida.

We are focused on importing premium Colombian beans directly from emerging farmers, many of whom are just getting started and don’t have access to fair trade or global buyers. We grow together.
