Empower Destiny and Her Daughter Together
Donation protected

Hello, my name is Destiny, and I’m from Chicago. Earlier this year, in April, my life changed forever when I was shot 13 times during a violent domestic dispute. It’s a miracle that I survived, but the road to recovery has been incredibly difficult. I am reaching out today, humbly asking for your help and support as my 6-year-old daughter and I try to piece our lives back together after this traumatic experience.
For months, I was hospitalized, fighting for my life. During that time, I lost everything. I had no family to lean on, and as a result, we lost our home, our belongings, and even basic necessities like clothing. The pain of what happened is unimaginable, and what makes it even harder is knowing that my daughter has had to go through all of this with me.
I am currently staying at a nursing home because I am still unable to walk due to the injuries I sustained. It’s been an incredibly challenging time physically, emotionally, and financially. Every day is a battle as I work towards regaining my strength and mobility, but as of now, we have nothing—no clothes, no home, no safety net.
That’s why I’m here today, asking for your help. I want to provide for my daughter and give her the comfort and stability she deserves. I’m seeking assistance to buy clothes, essentials, and basic items we need to survive while I continue my recovery. My little girl has been so strong through all of this, and she deserves so much more than what I can currently provide.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make an incredible difference in our lives. Your kindness and generosity will help us take steps toward healing and rebuilding, not just our physical lives, but also the emotional wounds this tragedy has left behind.
Please consider sharing this campaign with others, and if you are able, contributing whatever you can. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and support. Every little bit will go a long way toward helping us regain some sense of normalcy and security.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for any help you can offer as we work to rebuild our lives. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness.
