I'm a psychiatrist, writer and compassion educator in San Francisco, founder of the non-profit SF Love Dojo and interested in helping distressed individuals and communities get to true belonging.

I'm organizing "Postcard Parties for Mental Health and Social Well Being" on Saturdays in August. Fill out this form and come if you are interested. I intend to offer some self-compassion skills or other teaching (briefly) during these sessions. Anybody from the community is welcome - parents and young children to teens, artists, those interested in self-compassion, psychiatrists, other mental health practitioners, etc.

This GoFundMe is to raise funds to pay for postcards through Blue Wave Postcards and other organizations as well. So far, I've put in $4060 of my own funds towards postcards. That should cover 2-3 weekends. If I am able to raise more than that, I will offer another August weekend, or allow me to purchase some non alcoholic beverages and snacks for volunteers. I am not making any profit on this activity, and am not paying myself a salary for this.
