“My name is Carolyn Fenderson, and I’m the founder and CEO of Helping Others Make It Everyday nonprofit organization. H.O.M.E NFP was created from lived experience, survival, and a deep belief that communities deserve more than just temporary support. A belief that communities deserve a sense of hope, resilience, and real opportunities that bring longevity, stability, and success. Helping Others Make It Everyday NFP exists to be the support one needs to thrive for generations to come.

The Problem (Why H.O.M.E Exists)
“Too many individuals and families in our communities are living in survival mode—facing food insecurity, unemployment, homelessness, violence, trauma, and a lack of access to supportive resources. I’ve seen firsthand how systems fail people when help is fragmented or out of reach. When people are left to navigate these challenges of adversity alone, the cycle of trauma and poverty continues.” H.O.M.E strives to fill the gaps and break the cycles.

Our Solution
Our mission is to meet people where they are and walk with them toward stability, healing, and self-sufficiency. Through our programs, we provide prepared meals, hygiene supplies, violence prevention, community safety education, youth empowerment, and job readiness training. Each program is designed not as a handout—but as a pull-up.”

Impact & Approach
“Our approach is community-rooted and trauma-informed. We don’t just offer services—we build trust, restore dignity, and empower individuals to reclaim control over their lives. Every workshop, meal, and outreach effort is designed to address both immediate needs and long-term change.”

Vision (Where We Are Going)
“Our vision is a future where individuals are no longer defined by their circumstances but supported in building sustainable, healthy lives. We envision safer neighborhoods, empowered youth, and adults equipped with the tools to provide for themselves and their families. This is about breaking generational cycles and replacing them with generational stability and wealth.”

Funding Need (Clear Ask)
“To bring this vision to life and expand our impact, we are seeking $2500 in funding to support program operations, supplies, and community outreach. These funds will allow us to serve more families, expand our workshops, and strengthen the infrastructure needed to operate effectively and sustainably.”

Closing (Call to Action)
“When you invest in Helping Others Make It Everyday, you’re not just funding a nonprofit—you’re investing in people, possibility, and transformation. Together, we can turn survival into stability and trauma into hope. Thank you for believing in our mission and being part of this journey.”
