Empower Charlotte's Path to Recovery and Stability
Tax deductible
Hi, my name is Catherine Tootle and I’m the Director of Freedom Through Recovery. Our mission is to empower people to find their pathway to recovery while maintaining health and wellness.
Meet our peer Charlotte:) we are helping Charlotte secure her deposit for stable housing through Union Mission. Another organization in our community has helped raise over $700 of the $1,200 security deposit. We are in need of $500 more dollars to secure stable housing for this beautiful family.
From Charlotte…
"My name is Charlotte Shavers. I am a single mother of five wonderful children. Four sons and one daughter. Kameron and Rhamere are my two adult children and Kaleb and Maurice are my youngest. Ny'Monie is the only little princess of the bunch! Currently in recovery, as of June 11th I am 11 months clean and sober. I found my place of consistency at Esther's Place on April 29, 2024 and I have been attending ever since. Thanks to Mrs. Lori and Mrs. Tanya, I am now connected to Freedom Through Recovery and Connection Church. I have been attending since May 5, 2024. My children have been loving Konnection Kids and VBS. I currently work for Home Instead Senior Care of Dublin as a Caregiver. Our current living arrangement is in an apartment with my sister and her son and we are very overcrowded. Mrs. Peggy Brown of Union Mission helped me to obtain housing for my family through their housing program. I have the funds to pay my monthly bills. Unfortunately, I cannot afford the deposit which is $1,200 upfront. Any help will be appreciated!
I am learning that in recovery I have to ask for help. I know I will be overwhelmed trying to figure this out by myself."
