Empower Brattleboro Youth: Aid Asheville Hurricane Recovery
Donation protected
We are an interfaith youth group based in the Brattleboro region. Our mission is to build a multicultural community through friendships, food, fun, and service, and by making a difference in our area and beyond.
Our goal, and the project for which we are fundraising, is to travel to Asheville, North Carolina to assist with the ongoing recovery efforts from hurricane Helene. If we're successful in our fundraising goal, we will work with Asheville Youth Mission, an organization which has long term relationships with dozens of social service agencies in and around Asheville. They will help us to spread our labor across a wide variety of service projects throughout the week we will spend in Asheville. These will include rebuilding, cleaning, distributing food, and more relational experiences such as providing hospitality and friendship to people suffering due to the aftermath of the hurricane.
If you donate, you will also be providing Brattleboro area youth with an opportunity to broaden their horizons by traveling to a different community and making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. We will need your donations to assist with the estimated cost of about 1,000 dollars per person, including a fee which will go to AYM to cover our lodgings, our food, and their mission, as well as our own travel costs.
Please donate to this cause and support young people in your community and people in need beyond. Thank you so much!
