Hi! My name is Jay Lam and I'm organizing this fundraiser along with my amazing team of 10 as a Random Act of Kindness. Together, we're working to empower and support Amelia and her daughter in a meaningful way. How can you help change their lives overnight?

Story:

Amelia moved to the U.S. in 2020 with hopes of building a new life with her husband. She had a career in her home country and was on her way to becoming certified in the U.S. But what she thought would be a fresh start quickly became a nightmare. She found herself trapped in an abusive relationship—both emotionally and physically. The abuse escalated, and Amelia made the brave decision to leave, though it would leave her with nothing; and her struggle was far from over.

In 2023, when the situation became even more dangerous, Amelia, who was now starting from nothing, found support at Interval House. Despite the support she received from Interval House, the financial and emotional challenges still remain.

Our goal is to raise $8K. Your donation will go directly toward essential tools for Amelia to establish a life-changing career, along with everyday necessities for her daughter. Think about what you can cause by transforming Amelia and her 5 year old daughter's lives in 18 hours.
