Empower a Journey of Service and Personal Growth

Hi everyone!!! I have been presented with the most amazing opportunity to travel to Tanzania for 18 days this upcoming December through January volunteering for a company called Give. The first 10 days will be dedicated to teaching english, working with endangered wildlife, and helping build sustainable infrastructure in the community. For the next 8 days we will be climbing the world’s highest single-standing mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. This is for me to gain a personal  accomplishment as well as spiritual and cultural experiences. I’ve always been interested in these expeditions but have never taken the next step and secured a decision. My life is full of change right now so what better time to take a life changing trip. I am learning more and more each day about how fortunate and comfortable I am living, which in exchange has taught me to seek gratefulness in every aspect of life. Compassion and generosity is fundamental to my life of faith. Giving back is not just a good deed or to boast about but a way of serving God Himself. We as His followers are to go out and continue the mission of bringing people out of darkness by knowing their creator. I might be the only Bible some of these people will ever read so i’m devoted to display that Jesus Christ lives in me every day. In general, helping communities in need is a vital part of my walk with Christ, reflecting Gods love and character. So for me to embark on this amazing journey I need a lot of help and support!
