My name is Dr. Pete Watson, and I recently retired from my position as Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado. Each summer for the past 3 years, I have executed multi-week, solo, self-supported bike-packing projects.
This year, I am planning to ride the entirety of the newly completed Empire State Trail in New York State. The Empire State Trail runs from Buffalo in the West to Troy on the Hudson River. It then runs North and South from the Canadian Border to New York City. My project will involve riding 900 miles over a two-week period carrying all my gear on the bike. In retirement, my focus has been on Healthy Aging.
That’s why I am excited to partner with The Dale Association, whose Lockport, NY Senior Centre has been focused on Healthy Aging in the programming they do.
We will be accepting donations concurrent with my ride, either on a per mile basis, or as a lump sum donation. All donations will go directly to support the Healthy Aging Services at The Dale Association. 100% of your donation will go to this cause, as I will personally fund all aspects of my ride as my donation to the effort.
Donations can be provided to The Dale Association through this page.
