Emory grew up on our waterways, including the Bohemia River. He has a passion for the water and keeping our water ways clean. Emory has autism and is hyper focused on keeping our river clean of trash and debris. He spends hours picking up trash, debris, and recyclable material and motivates others to follow in his footsteps. Emory and his family have spent many hours and much of their money towards keeping our water ways clean and safe, so much so as he has earned a Presidential Service Award for his service. He picks up everything from plastic, empty beer cans, glass, food wrappers, floating debris, and even car tires. Not only is Emory keeping our environment clean he is also helping fellow boaters by picking up heavy logs and other floating debris that may cause damage to lower units, props, and outdrives.
This go fund me page has been created to help Emory and his family with the cost of keeping our water clean including covering cost of supplies and disposal service. Everything he takes out of the water his family is responsible of disposing of and some of the material need disposed of in a proper manner other than a communal dumpster. His ever growing passion and commitment for keeping the water way clean is overwhelming and we would love the opportunity for fellow boaters to support him in his mission.
