Thank you for stopping by to read the story of the GROSS FAMILY. Ethan & Kayla Gross will steal your heart. They are an adorable couple, high school sweethearts who were married and over the moon excited to share the news of their Baby Girl to family, friends and the world! All was going as planned and the excitement was in their faces in every picture you see of them. Kayla literally beaming with pride on the start of the journey to parenthood.
Kayla was a huge part of Ginger Raines and my life when she grew up at the gym that Ginger owns and I worked at for many years with Kayla by my side. We felt compelled to tell her story and to help them through this difficult time and lessen the hardships if at all possible.
Fast forward to 27 weeks when Kayla was diagnosed with Severe Preeclampsia, a life-threatening disease to both Mom & Baby.
She was immediately hospitalized and told she would most likely not be pregnant very much longer.
Prayer and odds prevailed and they had 5 FULL days in the best of care and on January 1st at 9:31 pm precious little EMERSON GRACE GROSS was born via emergency c-section. Emerson weighed 1lb 13.5 ounces and was 14 inches long!
Doctors are anticipating 13 weeks in the NICU and knowing her original due date was March 28th, will want to get as close to that date to enable the best possible growth, health, and life for this sweet baby girl.
Kayla has been discharged and Ethan has returned to work, there will be costs associated with the hospital stay as well as the ability to allow Kayla the proper time that Emmie needs to have her mommy there with her every day.
100% of the funds raised will go to the family ( minus, of course, the fees charged through go-fund me)
