Fix the porch at Chabad at VT
Tax deductible
For me and many other Virginia Tech students, Chabad at VT has served as a home away from home and offered Judaism in a town where there’s otherwise no community for us to look to. So many great memories and friendships have been formed at our local Chabad house, and have formed an environment where Jewish students from all around feel welcomed.
For many years a lot of the social events have taken place outdoors with dozens of students coming weekly for barbecues, lunch and learns, and just to hang out with the Rabbi and his family. Unfortunately, as of recently the front porch has deteriorated and become unsafe for continued student use. Especially due to the pandemic we need as much outdoor space as possible so students have an outlet to socialize in a safe environment.
Now is the time to step up and help, so the Chabad house can continue serving the community as much as possible. Every donation counts, and I really hope you recognize how much impact your contribution impacts the lives of Jewish students like myself and hundreds on campus.
