On Thursday October 3rd our family welcomed baby Emma! Janessa and Dave’s little girl is finally here and their family is complete. Emma is the baby sister to two other little girls Sarah and Rachel. Soon after Emma was born the doctor was concerned that Emma had a lot of bruises and she was quickly moved to the NICU. The doctors were baffled. Every test they did came back negative and they sent Emma home on Monday with an appointment at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia on Tuesday to see a dermatologist. Wednesday night our family got devastating news.... The doctor from Chop called Janessa and told them to pack their bags and immediately leave and get to the hospital,their daughter has Leukemia. We are devastated but hopeful that God has plans for Emma and she gets through this and everything is going to be ok. We are asking for help for Janessa and Dave as they have a long road ahead of them and as you know none of this is going to be cheap. Think of all the lost work, the gas money, tolls and eating out not to mention the medical bills piling up still trying to pay your bills at home and support two other kids. It’s a daunting task. Our family is going to do EVERYTHING we can to help them through this but this is so much bigger than us. We need your help! Financially, emotionally and spiritually. This is so extremely rare and we have no idea what to expect. If you can find it in your heart to help us help baby Emma’s mommy and daddy through this we would be forever grateful.
