Emjay & Georgia's 5th Annual Blanket Drive

Emjay & Georiga's Blanket Squad was established in 2016 in Hamilton, Ontario to help raise awareness and bring warmth to the homeless community in our city.   Over the years The Blanket Squad has raised $500, $600, $1800, $2800 and last year an amazing $3900, and most recently had 25 crew members added to help with all of the organizing and handing out!  This year, as a tribute to their 5th anniversary, Emjay & Georgia have taken on the task of reaching their goal to raise $5555.00

This year will look a little different than others, The Blanket Squad usually raises funds from November 1st - 30th, and spends December to March purchasing warm blankets, mittens & hats, backpacks and food, and handing them out in the streets of our city.  As a group, the squad hands out hundreds of items and serves many meals to our community.  Due to the importance of the health and safety of our Squad members and our homeless community, we will not be handing out items this Winter, however we will be purchasing all the same things we always do, and providing the teams we usually work with funding to continue to do the hard work we are unable to support this year. 

Emjay & Georgia are so grateful for the opportunities and experiences the Blanket Squad has brought into their lives.  Connecting with people in need and providing them with warmth, food and comfort always brings joy to everyone.  Your support means the world to our family, and every dollar raised changes so many lives in our community each year.
