Emily Wax and her children, Gabby and Lincoln

Our dear friend Emily Wax and her wise, funny, beautiful and brave kids (Gabby and Lincoln, both 9) lived and loved for seven years alongside Emily's husband, Ray Thibodeaux, as his kidney cancer spread to his bones, lungs and brain. This disease stole so much from this family. Ray's journey here ended early this morning (Jan. 29, which very sadly is also Lincoln's birthday), but man did this tennis-and-guitar-playing Cajun fight like hell to stay. His family today cried, danced, cried some more and told stories about him. We, friends of the family, are asking for donations to help Gabby and Lincoln for their road ahead.
