Hello,
As many have heard by now Emily and Joe Adam’s daughter Everleigh was born on June 2nd 2024 eternally sleeping. Emily had a healthy pregnancy with no complications. The day of her baby shower she hadn’t felt Everleigh kick so she canceled her shower and went to the hospital where they confirmed Everleigh had no heart beat.
In Emily’s words:
“For those who wanted to know but were too scared to ask, she was quite literally the healthiest most perfect baby. I had a very easy pregnancy, no complications whatsoever except that she was breech right up until 34 weeks. Unfortunately she managed to get her umbilical cord wrapped around her neck so tight that it caused the cord to be compressed which lead to her death as there was no blood flow or oxygen going to her through the cord. I was 37 weeks. She was full term. It was a terrible fluke accident, awful bad luck.”
Emily and Joe asked for their privacy and space to navigate this unimaginable loss and were too humble to ask for help from their community of friends and family.
Ever since Everleighs death they have been hit with vet bill after bill on their beloved breeding program and fur babies. Emily was supposed to be raising her beautiful little girl so has not been working. The straw broke the camels back last night when their dog Rexy was lethargic and unable to move or eat. Joe had got Rex for Emily as a present for their first Christmas together back in 2015.
They got him to the vet as soon as they could and he has been diagnosed with pancreatitis due to something going on with his kidneys. They have been strapped with yet another vet bill over $2000 and still have a lot more tests and treatments to go to hopefully save Rexys life.
Now on behalf of my sister and brother in law, I am asking for help for them. Emily and Joe have been rolling with the punches this year has brought them but they can’t seem to catch a break.
This holiday season is going to be hard enough to get through without their angel Everleigh but we’re praying and hoping that they don’t have to endure it without another one of their fur babies. That being said if you’re able to spare a few dollars so that money doesn’t have to be a factor in trying to save their Rexys life, I know Emily and Joe would be forever grateful
