Support Emily and Sofia

To those who do not know, my sister Emily unexpectedly lost her daughter Simone in March and then her fiancé Eric in September. She is just now at a place where she can come up for air and process what she has been going through these past several months. To say that it has been a difficult year is an extreme understatement. It has taken a lot for her to get from one day to the next. Even one of the tragedies that she has had to face would be terrible but this…

 

Emily is one of those people who goes above and beyond for those she cares about (and even complete strangers) because that is the type of person she is. She cares with her whole heart. Those of you who know her know that she is one of the most strong and resilient people out there but this has truly torn her world apart. Not only is she mourning Simone and Eric, but also the loss of the relationship she and Sofia had with Eric’s lovely daughters with whom they no longer have contact. It is heartbreaking, all of it.

 

Thank you to all who have already reached out to her and who have offered to help whether it is sending money, through kind words, texts, or cards. Your support means the world and I know that she truly appreciates it. To those who are searching for job leads, thank you, too! That is something that she is working on but, as you know, the job market is tough at this time. Please keep your eyes out because she is an extremely qualified stakeholder management specialist and communications director.

 

On top of this grief that she is working through and helping Sofia work through hers as well, bills are piling up and she has no means to support herself at the moment. Our parents have and will continue to go to the moon and back for her but, there is only so much that they can do. We would love to be able to lift her up right now as much as possible and help her as she tries to get back on her feet both emotionally and financially. Thank you so much for your help and support.
