Emiliano (Yoder) Ramos: His Cleft Lip and Palate Journey

Let me introduce you to— Baby Emiliano

Emiliano was born in North Dakota with a gentle spirit, curious eyes, and a unilateral cleft of the lip and palate. This means he has a gap in his lip and the roof of his mouth that affects how he eats, breathes, and eventually, how he speaks.

Emiliano is the son of Jared and Jadyn Ramos of Cando, ND, who recently moved from CA to be closer to family. Emiliano has an older brother, Emmanuel. Jadyn is a busy stay-at-home mom caring for their two young sons while dad Jared is at work. Mother, Jadyn is the daughter of Sherri and Chet Yoder of Wolford, ND. (Director of “Father’s Farm”). Dad, Jared grew up in California. Emiliano’s great grandmother is Cat Peters of Cando, ND.

From the moment he arrived, Emiliano showed more strength and bravery than you ever could have imagined. But his medical journey is just beginning — and he needs your help.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Emiliano’s condition requires:

Multiple surgeries, starting as early as 3 months old

Specialized bottles and feeding equipment

Speech and feeding therapy

Orthodontic and dental care

Frequent long-distance travel (cleft team, medical care)

While insurance covers some of the major surgeries, there are many hidden costs — travel, hotels, unpaid time off work, medical supplies, and future treatments. These expenses are already adding up fast for the Ramos family.
