On January 22, 2026, our beloved Maria Mateo suffered a sudden and life-changing stroke. Since that day, she has been hospitalized and left paralyzed on the left side of her body, unable to do many of the things she once did independently. This has been incredibly difficult not only for Maria, but for our entire family as we watch someone we love face such a challenging recovery.

Just as we were holding onto hope, Maria suffered a second stroke on February 3rd, which further worsened her condition and extended her hospital stay. She now requires ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and constant support as she continues to fight and heal.

The medical bills, hospital expenses, rehabilitation costs, and everyday needs have quickly become overwhelming for our family. We are asking for help during this incredibly hard time so we can focus on Maria’s recovery and ensure she receives the care and support she needs.
