Zapenda Relief Fund for Eastern Congo

BACKGROUND:

The security situation in eastern Congo has once again taken a turn for the worst. The North and South Kivu provinces are being occupied by rebel groups - causing panic and instability for the people living there. Thousands have lost their lives. Families have been displaced from their homes and many continue to worry for their safety every day. This includes our staff and their families in Bukavu who are at risk of running out of basic necessities like food and water.

ASK:

We are asking for your contributions to our emergency fund to help support our staff in eastern Congo and other families in the community we work in. We are not in control of the political situation, but we can at least ensure that members of our community have what they need to weather this unfortunate storm. Please donate what you can or share this campaign with your network. A little help can go a long way.
