Beloved family, friends, and global community,
We are humbly calling for your support in the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa, which struck our Rastafari Indigenous Village with unprecedented force. Our peaceful community—rooted in culture, spirituality, sustainability, and ancestral traditions—has been left in crisis.
Homes have been damaged, sacred spaces impacted, food crops destroyed, and our only access road suffered severe erosion and blockage. Many families are displaced and in urgent need of basic essentials. Our village thrives through unity and natural living, but this disaster has pushed us to seek outside help for survival and restoration.
Our Immediate Goal: $75,000
Your generous contributions will be used directly and immediately for:
•Rebuilding community infrastructure (homes, communal spaces, sacred grounds)
•Repairing and reopening our access road to restore safe passage
•Emergency essentials: food, clean drinking water, gas, and firewood
•Tools and supplies for clearing debris and rebuilding (chainsaws, fuel, tarps, ropes, hand tools, etc.)
Supporting displaced elders, children, and families in the community
Why This Matters
Our village represents more than a place—it is a spiritual sanctuary, a cultural stronghold, and a living model of Indigenous Rastafari traditions, natural living, and harmony with creation. Losing it would mean losing irreplaceable heritage, wisdom, and generational legacy.
We do not seek charity, but solidarity. Your support helps a community rebuild itself with dignity and stay rooted on the land that sustains us.
