Help Rebuild Lives in Kashmir After Devastating Attacks

URGENT: My hometown was just attacked. Civilians have been killed. Families have been displaced and are now sleeping outside in the cold. Children are missing. Hospitals are overwhelmed.

My name is Faiza Khan. I was born and raised in Rawalakot, Poonch, a town in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (Pakistani Administered Kashmir), and I am now residing in the United States. Kashmir is my home, its where, I grew up, where my family and friends live, and where my heart remains.

The Crisis:

For decades, Kashmir has lived under the shadow of conflict. Now, in 2025, that shadow has turned into devastation.

On May 6, 2025, multiple missile strikes hit cities across Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including my hometown, Rawalakot, Poonch. Entire neighborhoods were obliterated in seconds, reduced to rubble. The air was filled with dust, blood, and screams. Dozens were killed, many more injured, and families fled with nothing but the clothes on their backs, desperately seeking shelter wherever they could. This is not just a news story, it is my community, my family, my people.

As someone born and raised in the region, this tragedy is deeply personal to me. This is my home under fire.

Who’s Affected:

Civilians living near the borders and Line of Control in Kashmir have been the most severely impacted. Entire communities have been displaced, their homes and businesses destroyed, their lives completely uprooted. With no access to basic resources, these families are now struggling to survive without shelter, clean water or medical care.

I will personally oversee the fund transfers using secure platforms like Western Union or Remitly to ensure the aid reaches those who need it most.
