Emergency Preparedness Tampa

As part of President’s Leadership Fellows at the University of Tampa, Sydney, Marissa, Briana, and Julia are working to create a meaningful social change project to benefit the Tampa Bay community. Our project centers on public health, specifically emergency preparedness. We wish to create emergency preparedness backpacks that will help disadvantaged members in the community when natural disasters strike. Why? Because everyone deserves to feel secure in an emergency.  In these backpacks we hope to include common items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food items, socks, and more. What makes them unique is the universal image card that will be included in the bag that showcases Tampa emergency phone numbers and easily recognizable images of the important items to include in the kit should they need to replace items or include any personal items from their home.

We are hoping with your generous donations and sponsorship, we can implement this emergency preparedness initiative in the Tampa Bay community.

Anything helps. We hope to create sustainable change.
