Hello. I am a single parent raising a beautiful child with autism, and right now, we are at a critical crisis point in our lives. Every day, I do everything in my power to meet my child’s unique needs while also trying to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and some sense of stability in a world that often feels overwhelming and unforgiving. With no access to consistent childcare and no local family or support system to lean on, I am carrying this responsibility completely alone.
Despite my best efforts, I have reached a point where I can no longer do this without immediate help. The lack of reliable childcare has made it nearly impossible to maintain steady work, attend appointments, or secure the services my child desperately needs. Each day brings new challenges, and while I remain devoted to my child’s well-being, the emotional, physical, and financial strain has become overwhelming.
This fundraiser is not just about covering expenses—it is about keeping my child and me safe, stable, and housed during one of the most difficult seasons of our lives. I am asking for help with humility and honesty because we truly cannot survive this moment alone. Any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing our story, brings us one step closer to stability and hope for a better future.
Why We Need Help
Despite constant job searching and numerous interviews, most employers require an inflexible schedule:
• Weekend shifts
• Evening hours
• Full availability, even on school closure days
• The ability to work when my child is sick
Without a reliable support system, I simply cannot meet those requirements—and this constraint has pushed us into a genuine crisis.
What This Fund Will Cover Immediately
Your generous support will immediately secure the following necessities:
• Back rent to prevent imminent displacement and homelessness.
• Car insurance & registration renewal to ensure we have legal transportation.
• Tickets/fines that must be cleared before the car can pass inspection.
• Basic necessities (phone, internet, and essentials) while I stabilize our situation.
(A note on the car: Our insurance lapsed in October, and I cannot register or legally drive the car without clearing these immediate hurdles. The car is paid off and is absolutely essential for getting to school, therapy appointments, and medical needs.)
What I’m Building for the Future
I am working tirelessly on a long-term solution: creating a creative community project designed specifically for single parents and families of children with disabilities. This is a sustainable model that fills the exact gaps that currently leave so many of us unable to work.
Your support today keeps my family safe long enough for me to build that essential future we need.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with us during this critical time.
