We are raising funds to help cover attorney fees and other expenses for a single mother dealing with an emergency custody trial after their child was hospitalized. We have been able to retain an attorney pro bono for initial court proceedings, but in order to have the attorney past the first hearing we need to raise at least $4,000. Any additional funds received past the $4000 goal will help to make up for lost wages and missed bills due to being a in a legal proceeding.

Having an attorney for this incident will protect the mother and parent from exasperated and drawn out court hearing. We have looked into other avenues for getting funds, such as taking out loans, but the systems have constantly gotten in the way not just since the recent incident, but over the past year and the incidents have resulted in such a dangerous situation occurring. We are hoping to raise as much as possible by the beginning of April 2025.
