From the depth of living during the period of displacement and spending time in the tent, I write my story in brief to convey my message. I am Iman Adel Al-Zatma from Gaza Strip, -Rafah- A month ago I turned twenty-four years old. A few days before 7 October, I graduated from Al Aqsa university and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English. My greatest plan was to complete my master's degree in political science. I had many free scholarships in several countries, and I was desperately waiting for registration to open. But when the war came, I was unable to obtain my university degree due to the cessation of educational services and the demolition of my university. Now I have submitted my application to study for a master’s degree, but at my personal expense and the fees for this scholarship are very high, which I cannot pay at all. I need about a thousand dollars per semester In addition to the travel costs, as I do not have a passport, and the costs of living in another country. On May 10, 2024, we had to leave our home and our city.

We only took a few of our clothes and personal belongings. After a month of displacement my house was completely demolished and we lost it, and we lost everything we had in our house. Now we have been living in a tent in very harsh conditions for 4 months. I have three brothers and three sisters. On the fourteenth of December, our neighbors' house was directly bombed. My mother, sister, and nephew were seriously injured, and my nephew traveled abroad to complete his treatment in January. My father does not work, and everything we earned we put into building our house, which we lost. We think a lot about managing our household now, after the end of the war, and how to restore our house. Now we have no source of income to benefit from, and I have no other choice.
