My name is Ahmad, and I am from Gaza.

Just some time ago, I had a life, a family, a home, and dreams. Now I have lost almost everything. 

During a recent bombing while we were taking shelter in a school, I was severely injured. I lost both of my legs, and in the same moment, I lost most of my father, 2 uncles and their children, my brother-in-law. In another bombing I lost my sister, her husband, her daughter, another brother-in-law, and cousins. They were all martyred in our family home. 

Our home was completely destroyed. I spent 2 days bleeding uncontrollably and the doctors thought I too was a martyr. I woke up in a hospital with no house, and no family to go back to. I had a chance to save my legs but due to the lack of medical resources and finances, I was not able to receive treatment to save them or have surgery. Because of the lack of medical supplies and resources, they had to amputate my leg and my foot. 

Every day since then has been a struggle not only to move or survive, but to find hope again. 

Why I Need Your Help:

I urgently need prosthetic legs, medical treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation to be able to walk again and have some semblance for a normal life. 

I also need basic essentials like a safe place to live, food, clothes, and emotional support to begin my life again from nothing.

I am trying to stay strong, but I cannot do this alone.
