We don’t usually ask for help, but we’re in a situation right now.

A couple of days ago, our van caught fire and we lost almost everything—clothes, belongings, basically our home.

I had said earlier that we thought insurance was going to take care of us. Unfortunately, that’s not how it’s playing out. Because the policy is from Canada and we’re currently in the U.S., the immediate support is very limited and it’s going to take time before anything comes through.

Right now, we’re in Arizona, in a small car with two dogs, trying to get through extreme heat with no real place to stay.

If anyone is able to help or even just share this, it would mean a lot right now.
