This is an emergency mutual aid fund that has been set up in light of recent increase in fascist racist violence towards Muslim, Black and racialised folks in the UK.

The money raised will be distributed for folks to use for travel, food, personal safety, self defence classes, first aid etc.

Previously this fund has used the platform Ko-Fi but due to Paypal issues we have swapped to gofundme. For transparency, at the time this gofundme went live the figures were:

Total donated: £3709 (245 donations)

PayPal deduction: £402.38 (leaving £3306.62)

Total withdrawn: £3303 to 36 folk

Total left: £3.62

We will be keeping this fund open for another week (till 16/08) where we will either close the fund or reassess depending on the current climate and people’s needs.

Going forwards, a set 15% will go to Dope Black Queers who are working towards community healing for Black and POC LGBTQI+ people. When we do close the fund, any remaining funds will go towards them.
