The Town Churchill Manitoba
Sponsored By the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni, with the support of Winnipeg Harvest, the Manitoba Association of Food Banks, Food Banks Canada and Danica's Village.
The Town of Churchill Manitoba is in a real crisis at this time and they need our help to get through this.
With the loss of the rail line back in May 2017 due to flooding the only way in or out of the community is by air transportation. The cost of living has gotten so far out of control that almost everyone in the community is in need of support.
Michael Hameluck and the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Alumni have been asked to provide any and all the help they can to help the community through this very tough time, but finding this to be a great chalange, I have requested the support of Toni DeLaroque of Danaca's Village for help, as she has had great success with two such fundraisersa.
We started the Emergency food drive for the Town of Churchill Manitoba and have joined forces with Fred Arnold of Arnold Bros Transport and through his connections with the Canadian Trucking Association and their Program Trucking for Change we hope to collect donations from across Canada and the USA.
They will help transport any donations to Winnipeg to start the journey North and with the support of Polar Industries (the Ice Road Truckers) and Calm Air we will make it happen. But we need your help, we need product donations and cash donations to help to purchasing what items we will need and to help pay for some of the transportation cost.
Please help by donating on line at go fund me page. Emergency Food For Drive for Churchill.
Please contact Michael Hameluck at: [email redacted] or by phone [phone redacted] H or [phone redacted]C. I look forward to hearing from you.
