Embryo Adoption - Roath Baby
Donation protected
Hello friends & family! As some of you know, or many of you will now know, we are pursing adoption! To be exact, Embryo Adoption.
If you don’t know what this entails, let me explain. Embryo Adoption stems from “leftover” embryos (children who are 5-6 days old) when a family who chose to do IVF has completed their family. There are hundreds of thousands of babies waiting to be adopted and cared for. For those who hold the belief that life begins at conception, this is how we truly show our fight in this! After adopting an embryo, a clinic we are in contact with will implant the embryo into Emma’s womb and she will (Lord-willing) carry to term and birth our adopted child. Sounds crazy, but it is such an amazing opportunity of adoption we get to partake in. If we believe that these frozen embryos are children, then we have a lot of work to do in caring for these babies. If you would like to learn more about this, we would be happy to have a conversation with you about all of it. :)
From the beginning of our marriage, adoption and specifically this type of adoption was something that the Lord placed in our hearts and on our minds. Through the pondering, praying, and weighing costs, we’ve come to the conclusion that we need to pursue adoption now and for as long as we possibly can.
How can you help? We need prayer. Prayers that we are gentle in our ways and caring for these babies in the way the Lord wills. Prayers that we cling to the Father’s Word and are not acting out of selfishness. And prayers for our steps going forward.
Other ways to help: If able and willing, financially. We have some but not all the funds we need for clinic fees, testing, and travel. If you are able, every penny and dime helps. If not, prayers for provision and sharing our story helps just as much, if not more!
All in all, this is just a short version of where we are in our journey with child bearing and adoption. Please reach out to us if you have more questions or would like to hear about the details of this process and decision. :)
Thank you for all your help. May the Lord bless you in all your ways.
