Mayday Mayday: Elysium Furnace Works is sending out an "SOS" to our supporters.

Over the past nine years, your friends and neighbors at Elysium Furnace Works have striven to bring world-class artistry to the Hudson Valley. Producing over 80 events since 2018, EFW is proud of the breadth, quality and extraordinary invention of those remarkable encounters, presenting everything from professors to punks, piano festivals to string orchestras, MacArthur "genius grant" recipients to radical singer-songwriters, boundary-pushing electronic artists to classical musicians, book launch celebrations to documentary screenings, as well as dozens of extraordinary performances by acclaimed figures from across the vanguards of jazz, improvised and thoroughly uncategorizable musics worldwide.

As a cooperative, 100%-volunteer venture without any outside financial support or sponsorship, EFW relies entirely on our audience to help us defray the costs of producing these one-of-a-kind performances.

We have striven to present a very ambitious season in 2026 — unfortunately, the turnouts we hoped for have not materialized. We are now carrying several thousand dollars worth of unsustainable debt, and we are turning to all of you to help keep EFW alive.
