Elvis Week: St. Jude Children's Hospital Fund
Elvis Presley loved giving to others, especially to those in desperate need. He gave to many charities throughout his life, he gave to his fans, and he gave to strangers that he sensed needed a helping hand.
It is in this spirit of giving that we decided to host a fundraiser for one of Elvis' favorite charities—St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
While our group, ELVIS: A Celebration of the Man and his Music, had intended to raise funds for a floral tribute to be placed at Elvis' grace at Graceland during Elvis Week in August, because of the many Covid-19 restrictions being enforced this year, we decided to host a fundraiser in lieu of the floral arrangement we had originally planned.
For those who are not familiar with St. Jude:
Their mission is to “advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. No child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.” (www.stjude.org)
Whatever you can give will be greatly appreciated and you will have the peace of mind in knowing that you are giving to a truly worthy and compassionate cause.
Your donation can be given made anonymously or publicly, whichever you are most comfortable with.
All donations are facilitated through GoFundMe who sends them directly to St. Jude.
Thank you again for your support of our group's charitable cause on behalf of St Jude Children's Research Hospital and in memory and celebration of the life, the legacy, and spirit of giving of Elvis Presley.
