A post one never wants to make.
But for a Mother that has given everything to her family and everything to her ongoing fight with cancer, it’s time to swallow any pride. She wants to fight and so we give her every opportunity to do so. Bring it on!
As many know, Mom has been battling metastatic breast cancer for 5+ years. She is an excellent candidate for the ENHERTU drug. It’s effective, it’s available, and yes, it’s expensive and not covered by insurance. She has faced countless challenges over the years and continues to overcome them. This is one more of those challenges.
Most recently, Mom has been forced to learn to walk again after a collapse of her T7 vertebrae. She had an emergency spinal surgery that went well and recovery is underway. She is now in physiotherapy building up strength in her legs and improving every single day. There are countless challenges faced and yet she takes each of them head on, never asking for anything, from anyone. Now it's time we, as a family, ask for her.
The ENHERTU drug works, effectively targeting tumour sites, and as a result, it gives her more LIFE - we hope for many years to come.
The details:
- ENHERTU drug is administered once every 3 weeks
- Each treatment costs $8700
- Treatment is set to begin October 3, 2024
Your contribution goes directly to this drug, nothing else. It gives her more time with us, her amazing friends, colleagues, her work as a nurse, and it gives her the quality of life she oh so deserves. Our Mom doesn’t quit. And she wouldn’t dare do so now. This treatment provides her everything she needs to keep the fight going!
Consider joining her and us.
We love you all. Words can’t express that enough.
- Mark, Ian, Nikki, Derek, Lauren, Remy, Casey, and Dad.
