Ellis Troy's fight!
Donation protected
The Grove clan was camping at Lewis and Clark this weekend, something they do regularly this time of year. As parents this is such a fun time when your little nuggets can finally start exploring things on their own two feet. If you know my nephew, you know he is such an adventurer and full of energy! Ellis was having a blast to say the least; who wasn't it was a gorgeous night. He was running around with big kids really enjoying the out doors. As parents we do our very best to protect our kids at the same time as giving them freedom to be kids. This evening took a turn for the worst when Ellis was running by and he tobbled just so into the firepit. Mommy was right there but an inch out of reach. ET experienced severe burns on his right arm and belly. Due to Yankton not having a burn unit they had to wait for several hours for an ambulance to get them to St Paul Region's hospital. Finally by 5 am they arrived to Minneapolis. Unfortunately with burns they have to wait a time period in order to know what the next step will be. As of now, they are looking at being here for at least a week. For those of you that don't know my sister and brother in-law they are the most generous, loving human/parents, the kind of people you should aspire to be. Alisha and Andrew are both active volunteers of their community and are constantly giving back in some way. Let's show them some extra love. l cant imagine what the ambulance drive of 5 1/2 hrs is going to cost them on top of the other exspenses that will follow, it's going to be crippling financially and emotionally. Let's rally together and help this amazing little family take the financial worry out of the equation of chaos they are facing. ❤️ Please continue to send them all the positive thoughts, prayers, and good vibes you can mustard up!
